A youngster from Montrose has had 10 inches cut off her hair and raised more than £1,000 for charity.

Holly McIntyre, 7, wanted to cut her hair and, after speaking to her mum, decided she wanted to donate it to The Little Princess Trust to help other children in need. The charity provides real hair wigs to boys and girls that have lost their own hair due to illness.

Holly appealed for donations and raised £1,200, which she is delighted with. She said she hoped her hair could make another child happy.

Holly’s dad Ross said: “As parents we are so proud of her.

“She is delighted with the amount raised, and is also pleased no one will mix up her and her twin sister from now on.”
