A Dundee woman has scooped £25,000 in the Scottish Children’s Lottery.
Lucky winner Jane Gorton, who celebrates her 25th wedding anniversary this year, matched all five numbers in the draw after trying her luck with a free play ticket, and was presented with a cheque by STV’s Jennifer Reoch.
Jane said: “I still can’t believe my luck — I had a free play ticket and ended up winning the top prize.
“We already had a holiday to Majorca booked to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, but when I found out about the £25,000 I went straight back to the travel agent and upgraded.”
The Scottish Children’s Lottery was launched in October 2016 to raise money for children in Scotland, with proceeds helping to improve the lives of children across the country.
Jennifer said: “Congratulations to Jane on winning the jackpot.
“It’s a great way to help raise funds for children across Scotland.”
