TRIBUTES: Woman who collapsed at Dundee bus stop thanks strangers who gave her blankets, toast and coffee

A Dundee woman has thanked the strangers who came to her aid when she collapsed at a bus stop last week.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said the incident happened last Wednesday as she was waiting for the 22 bus on Strathmartine Road near the Coldside Medical Practice.

“Thanks to those who provided blankets to keep me warm, the gentleman whose hat I still have and the lady who gave me coffee — I still have her thermos,” she wrote.

“Also thank you to Susan, Andy and Robbie, the paramedics who looked after me in the ambulance and to the staff at A&E who got me back to full health again.

“The tea and toast was most welcome.

“It is nice to know there are people out there who will come to someone’s aid, especially in the freezing conditions we’ve been having.”
