It’s pretty hot in Tayside but it’s soon going to get hotter weather-wise for six residents from the local area.
Later this month, half a dozen members of staff at Perth’s Fairview School – Kayti Todd, Tracey Murray, Sue Winch, Lise Hepburn, Lynn Melville and Hudson Kamau – are setting off to work for a spell in a school in Kibera, a huge slum area of Nairobi, Kenya.
During their time there, they will also visit the Jonathan Gloag Academy.
“We will be dividing our time between the school, the Academy and an orphanage,” said Kayti.
“We will be teaching in the school. It’s something the six of us have been looking forward to and we are excited about going there.”
