Football stars start Dundee walk to raise money for charity

More than 250 children braved the mid-February temperatures to take part in a sponsored walk back in 1975.

All wrapped up and raring to go, the crowd embarked on the walk for Help the Aged, which is now known as Age Scotland.

The kids started their charity mission at Baxter Park.

Three football legends in the shape of United left back Frank Kopel, ex-Dundee player and manager Jocky Scott and Doug Houston, who played for both of the city’s teams, started the walk.
