The local children’s hospital charity has been handed a boost of thousands of pounds thanks to generous staff at a financial services firm in Dundee.
Workers at Curtis Banks in the city chose the Archie Foundation as its local charity of the year, hosting a number of events which raised more than £5,000.
Staff held auctions, bake sales, sweepstakes and tombolas among other things at the firm’s base on West Marketgait.
Jenny Leith, of the firm, said: “We told our team here in Dundee about Archie and the wonderful work they do, all year they kept coming up with fantastic ideas to raise funds. It was a real team effort for a fantastic cause.”
Linda Meiklejohn, fundraising co-ordinator for the Archie Foundation in Tayside, said: “We are absolutely thrilled the team at Curtis Banks chose our foundation as their local charity. This is an incredible amount of money and we cannot thank the team enough.”
