There are plenty of fish in the sea but Karen and Martin Gray managed to get the perfect catch.
The couple were married at City Quay on November 17 2018 in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and friends.
Karen, a social care officer, met Martin, a delivery driver for Grahams Plumbing, through a dating site called Plenty of Fish in June 2016.
Karen said: “Martin messaged me first, but he didn’t have a picture on his profile so I said ‘sorry I don’t talk to people who have no picture’.
“He asked me for my mobile number so he could send me one, which I gave him and we started texting and phoning each other.
“We decided we wanted to meet up so Martin drove down to Arbroath from Dundee and we went to the Townhouse for lunch, where Martin described his dinner to be just like me – hot and beautiful.
“Martin proposed to me on the morning of Christmas Day 2017 and I gladly said yes.”
The couple wasted no time in getting organised for the nuptials by visiting venues in January.
Karen added: “Martin, my Mum and I went to have a look at the Quay in Dundee for our wedding venue.
“We ended up coming out that day having set the date for Novemeber 17 2018.”
The big day came and the couple enlisted the help of each of the pair’s children to take a special role.
“My two daughters Aleisha and Ariana where my bridesmaids along with my friend Janice.
“Martin also asked his son, Kieran, to be his best man.
“My two nephews Aidyn and Ethan were also involved and acted as our page boys. The day was amazing from start to finish.
“Our first dance was to Ed Sheeran and Beyonce’s song Perfect.
“The song just sums up how our married life is, which I hope will continue for many years to come.” The happy pair spent the night of their wedding at the Apex Hotel.
They then headed down to Glasgow to jet off to Tenerife to spend the 11 nights of their honeymoon in a five star hotel.
Karen definitely caught a good one.
