A six-year-old girl raised £700 for a local charity by taking part in the Dundee Kiltwalk.
Catherine Letford, a P2 pupil at Claypotts Castle Primary, raised the impressive amount when she took part in the Kiltwalk’s 11-mile Big Stroll from Tayport to Monifieth.
The money was raised for Tayside Deaf Hub, a community centre that runs services, activities and learning that reflect the needs of deaf and sensory-impaired local people.
Catherine presented a cheque to deaf hub staff and members.
Mum Dawn-Marie said: “Catherine’s school has a hearing impairment unit and she loves integrating with the children and learning to sign.
“She has a heart of gold and loves helping other people so she was more than happy to take part in the walk.
“She is absolutely over the moon that she has managed to raise such an amazing amount for charity.”
