The generosity of local school pupils and staff has once more come to the fore.
Pupils from Bongani High in Douglas, South Africa – which is twinned with Perth High – have been in the Fair City as guests of the school.
Perth High pupils visit Bongani most years, with a group of African students coming in the opposite direction.
Their trips are partly paid for by the Perth High community and this year, Bongani High is also benefiting from the generosity of a local benefactor.
Through Perth High, sweat-absorbent sports T-shirts have been purchased for Bongani pupils.
Perth High teacher Margo Feron will be leading the next group to visit Bongani. She said: “The Bongani folk are delighted to receive this gift which will be beneficial to them.
“Perth High has donated many items to Bongani over the years and we are delighted to help them out in this way.”
