The plug has been pulled on a major Dundee music festival.
The Tele can reveal that Carnival Fifty Six has been scrapped after just one year.
Organisers behind the two-day music festival — which attracted 16,000 revellers to Camperdown Park last August — today announced that it will not be held this year.
In an official statement, the group behind the event said it will explore the “future direction” of Carnival Fifty Six and hope to return in 2019.
The statement reads: “We’d like to thank everyone who supported Carnival Fifty Six in 2017.
“After much consideration the decision has been taken to not return the festival to Camperdown Park for 2018.
“We are taking a year off to explore the potential future direction of the show and hope to return in full effect in 2019. Until then, thanks to you all.”
