Dundee East MP Stewart Hosie lent his support to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) during National Stroke Awareness Month.
Mr Hosie, who was admitted to Ninewells Hospital in 2012 after suffering a transient ischaemic attack (TIA), also known as a ‘mini stroke’, visited the CHSS shop in Reform Street.
He met staff, volunteers and service users to learn more about the day-to-day running of the shop as well as the support services that the charity offers.
Mr Hosie said: “I was delighted to visit the shop and speak to the staff, volunteers and service users about the fantastic work that they do.
“I was especially glad that I could visit during National Stroke Awareness Month.’’
