A man has appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of assaulting his wife and struggling with her while brandishing a knife and a baseball bat.
Brian Austin, 32, of Craigmore Street, also denies challenging a man to fight while brandishing the offensive weapons at the house during the same incident.
He denies assaulting his wife Kylie McIntosh and pushing her, causing her to fall to the floor, at Coniston Terrace, Kirkton, on Sunday.
He also denies smashing a window at the house with a baseball bat on the same date and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, challenging Richard Lawrence to fight, brandishing a baseball bat and a knife and struggling with Ms McIntosh, during the course of which she was injured.
Sheriff Derek Reekie granted Austin bail but told him he would impose three special conditions.
He was told that he must not enter or attempt to enter Coniston Terrace.
He was also ordered not to approach or contact or attempt to approach or contact Mr Lawrence.
Sheriff Reekie also ordered Austin not to approach or contact or attempt to approach or contact Ms McIntosh.
Trial was fixed for January 30 with an intermediate diet on January 16.
