Dundee man, 31, jailed for possessing heroin

A Dundee man who admitted a drugs charge has been sent to jail.

Richard Gibson, 31, of Abercromby Street, was given a five-month sentence by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael after he admitted possessing heroin.

Gibson admitted that he had the Class A drug on June 11, in Fairbairn Street, while on bail.

The court was told Gibson is currently serving a 10-month sentence and his earliest release date is April 29.
