Dundee will be without the services of veteran striker Kenny Miller for two matches after their appeal over his red card was rejected.
The 38-year-old was shown a straight red card by referee Kevin Clancy in the second half of the game against Rangers at the weekend.
The Dark Blues felt the straight red card was excessive with Neil McCann claiming his man got the ball and launched an appeal.
However, Miller was already on a yellow card at the time of the tackle on Borna Barisic and would likely have been given a second yellow card any way.
Today’s decision by the SFA judicial panel means The Dee will be without their experienced forward for this weekend’s game against Hibs and the crunch game against Hamilton the following week.
Dundee said in a statement they are “disappointed with this outcome” but would make no further comment.
