Dundee’s on-loan midfielder Scott Allan could head back to parent club Celtic as he faces a spell on the sidelines.
The 25-year-old underwent on operation in a bid to get of a niggling groin injury.
His surgery was a success and the Dark Blues are holding discussions with the Hoops regarding Allan’s rehab.
He went under the knife last week and is expected to be out for at least the rest of this month.
And although he’s at Dens for the rest of the season, as his permanent employers it’s down to the Hoops where he will spend his recovery.
Boss Neil McCann said: “Because he’s a loan player we, quite rightly, have to be guided by Celtic and their medical staff. It’s early days and we’re just waiting.”
