Dundee have been linked with a loan swoop for West Ham youngster Josh Pask.
The centre-back impressed for the Hammers’ U/23 side last season prompting the Dark Blues to reportedly enquire about his services with a view to a season-long deal.
The 20-year-old is a youth academy product at the London club and spent the first half of the 2016/17 season on loan at Gillingham before picking up an injury that ruled him out for the remainder of that season.
Dundee are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements with former skipper Darren O’Dea expected to leave in this transfer window and Steven Caulker’s future decidedly unclear.
Manager Neil McCann has made it clear he’s still in the market for new faces to bolster his squad, particularly after a poor showing last week as they crashed out of the Betfred Cup at home to Ayr United.
He said: “We’re not done with our recruitment.
“I always said I would like to add one or two boys to the squad, I do believe we are a wee bit light in terms of numbers.
“That’ll be dictated to by finances, always will be.
“I’m delighted about signing Benjamin Kallman last week and I thank the board, John (Nelms) and Tim (Keyes), for making that happen because it took a bit of work to get him in.
“I think the fans were getting a bit impatient but we’ve been working so hard and we’ll always do our homework.”
