Dundee are set to hand a week-long trial to Croatian striker Stipe Plazibat ahead of the league campaign kicking off at St Mirren on Saturday.
The 28-year-old has spent the last two years plying his trade in Singapore with Home United, scoring 37 goals in 39 games.
The 6ft 1in hitman is in line to spend the next few days training with Neil McCann’s side as the club look to make their sixth signing of the summer.
With Marcus Haber exiting the Dark Blues to join Falkirk on a season-long loan and Sofien Moussa on the physio’s table, if Plazibat makes the grade he could fill a space in the squad.
If the Croatian front man impresses he could find himself in the travelling party to face St Mirren in the Premiership curtain-raiser at the Simple Digital Arena on Saturday afternoon.
