Dundee has been recognised as a city to watch yet again – by long-running music journal NME.
The magazine, which now only publishes articles online, called the city “Scotland’s cultural gem” in an article.
Staff at the magazine compiled a list of their top spots for music lovers to visit in the city.
The NME’s top picks for during the day include The Art Bar, watering hole Draffens, Groucho’s, V&A Dundee and the DCA.
At night, the magazine recommends stopping off at Reading Rooms, Underworld Cafe or Conroy’s Basement to catch local live music.
The article said: “The city is undergoing vast regeneration at the moment, spearheaded by last year’s opening of the award-winning Waterfront V&A museum.”
NME launched as the New Musical Express in 1952 and relaunched as a free magazine in 2015. It moved online in 2018.
