Fintry Community Council has warned that a derelict nursery building needs to be brought back into use before it becomes too expensive to keep.
Chairman Ron Neave told councillors and local authority staff at a meeting: “We need to get someone to look and see what can be done with it.
“The longer it stays empty the worse it will get.”
Fintry Nursery closed about a decade ago and has been the subject of a number of planning applications, none of which have come to fruition.
North-East Labour councillor Brian Gordon said applications had to be considered carefully to ensure the building is retained and used responsibly.
“The council has to make sure it doesn’t give the nursery away only for a developer to profit from it,” he added.
