More than 4.5 tonnes of food has been donated to Dundee Foodbank — one of its biggest-ever December collections.
At the start of every December the charity holds collection points for people to donate.
Held over three days, the foodbank said it had been left “speechless” by the amount of donations it received.
Helped by three Grove Academy pupils, alongside several other organisations, a total of 4,522kg was donated at Tesco’s South Road and Riverside stores.
Today, manager of the foodbank Ken Linton said he was thrilled.
He added: “We are absolutely delighted — it’s one of our biggest collections for December.”
