Paul McGowan and Martin Woods are touch-and-go to start in Dundee’s crunch clash with St Mirren today.
Boss Jim McIntyre has also rated central defender Andy Boyle as “50-50” as he bids to recover from a gashed knee.
The Dark Blues welcome the Buddies to Dens Park today in the battle of the basement boys and Jim is hopeful of having his experienced midfield pair fit to go from the start.
McGowan has been out since the start of September after a hernia problem suffered all season caught up with him, while Woods is a new signing.
The Dens gaffer said: “Boyle is 50-50, the rest are not too bad.
“Woods and McGowan are still a wee bit short but we’ll make a decision on them nearer the game.
“There is a possibility they could play. It would be a big ask but they are definitely in contention.”
Striker Benjamin Kallman is back available too, after his head knock.
Darren O’Dea, is fine after being brought off last week at Motherwell.
