Defender Kerr Waddell has extended his loan spell at Morton, Dundee have confirmed.
Then-Morton boss Ray McKinnon took Waddell on loan at the start of the season and although the former Dundee United manager quickly moved to Falkirk, the centre half has featured regularly for The Ton.
That left their management team of Jonatan Johansson and Peter Houston keen to hold on to him until the end of the campaign.
Dundee have been agreeable to that but they see the 20-year-old as having a big future at Dens Park.
Taking to social media Waddell voiced his pleasure at completing the deal.
He wrote on Twitter: “Delighted to be staying here till the end of the season, loved every minute so far.”
Waddell will now be eligible to play for Morton in the Scottish Cup this season.
