Dundee have been dealt a major injury blow with news that striker Benjamin Kallman will need an operation to fix a knee problem.
The Finland U/21 international had been suffering from an issue with his knee in recent weeks and it was initially hoped he would be fit for the Hibs clash this weekend.
However, the Dark Blues have been given the bad news that the 20-year-old will need to go under the knife.
He is expected to be on the sidelines for three to four weeks.
Kallman confirmed his spell out of the team on social media.
He wrote on Instagram: “Surgery this week. Devastated, but it’s a part of football and I will be supporting the team during the time I’m out and come back stronger!”
All going well, the forward will return to the squad by the time Rangers come to visit on Saturday December 8.
