Electric vehicle owners in Dundee have been given a boost after councillors were approved a six-figure charging centre.
The £746,000 project to build a new 10-space facility at Queen Street, Broughty Ferry, was accepted by Dundee City Council’s city development committee.
Committee convener Lynne Short said: “Our most recent charging array at Princes Street opened in July and has been popular with private and business users from day one.
“The money for this has come from grants from Transport Scotland and the UK Government’s Office of Low Emission Vehicles, who clearly recognise the good work that has already gone on in the city to encourage and support EV use.”
The work is expected to start later this month and be completed by the end of the year.
A number of spaces at the existing car park will be unavailable during this time.
