City councillors were asked last night to approve spending more than £1.5 million on a range of projects including the refurbishment of tennis courts and footpaths and steps and replacement of windows.
A total of £998,987 is to be spent on new windows in Fleming Gardens.
It’s also recommended that £154,000 is spent on new steps at Tulloch Court while councillors are also to be asked to agree spending £135,000 on footpaths and steps at Pentland Crescent.
Refurbishment work is also to be carried out at Dudhope and Baxter Park tennis courts totalling more than £200,000.
Courts in both parks will have their bitumous surfaces replaced with porous asphalt.
Improved drainage will be installed and new posts and nets will be fitted that meet Lawn Tennis Association standards.
Fencing at both courts is to be repaired and replaced and the courts will be repainted.
