Cafe Ardler has been set up in a vacant part of the Ardler Complex.

The launch was on Friday, but it will open for its first full day on Monday, from 9.30am-3.30pm, which will be the opening times on weekdays.

The cafe area will be used as a Macmillan Community Hub to provide support and advice for people affected by cancer.

As an opening offer, tea and coffee will be half price throughout November.

A spokeswoman for cancer charity Maggie’s said the new space would complement the Maggie’s Centre at Ninewells Hospital. She said: “We are delighted people with cancer in Dundee will have access to more help, especially those who are from the Ardler area.”
