Dundee charity supremo launches Easter egg appeal

Easter is just around the corner and Dundee charity boss Charlie Kean is making sure the Easter bunny visits homes throughout the city.

Charlie has launched his annual appeal for Easter eggs.

He said: “Many children will not receive an Easter egg due to poverty, illnesses and other circumstances but together we can bring happiness to these children.”

Charlie said he had so far arranged two drop-off points in the city — Virgin Money in the High Street and his own office at 14 Fairfield Street.

He added: “As in previous years, I hope that people will donate generously.

“Simply by donating an Easter egg, Dundonians can bring happiness into the lives of hundreds of children who might not otherwise be able to enjoy a simple treat at Easter.”

Over the years, Charlie has collected thousands of Easter eggs from generous folk in the city.

He then distributes them to people’s homes and the children’s wards at Ninewells Hospital.
