A bus driver was forced to make an unscheduled stop to attend to a medical emergency in Dundee.
The Xplore driver was at the wheel of an early-morning 1a service travelling into the city centre from St Mary’s, when he spotted a man requiring medical attention on Harefield Road, close to St John’s RC High School.
The man is believed to have suffered a seizure and wounded himself on a bus stop as a result.
The Xplore driver, along with a passenger, provided first aid until emergency services arrived. The man was then taken to Ninewells Hospital.
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed they had been called to attend at 7.30am on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for Xplore said: “We want to extend our best wishes to the man involved and hope that he recovers soon.
“We’d also like to say thanks to our driver and customer for their kind actions and for the patience of other passengers who may have been slightly delayed by the incident.”
