Dundee Brownies raise cash to buy for city foodbank

The 86th Dundee Brownies have raised £376.10 to help those in need.

The girls spent the last few weeks selling raffle tickets to make a donation to Taught by Muhammad Foodbank.

One of the brownies raised more than £100 on her own.

The girls then went to Tesco, and were split into groups and each given a portion of the money to buy food.

They had discussed the appropriate food and ideas included: corned beef, cereal, pasta, pasta sauces, and they knew to avoid perishable foods.

After their visit to the supermarket the girls went to the foodbank so they were able to see where their food was going.
