Dundee craft brewery 71 Brewing will compete in a test of brewing skills at the Craft Beer Experience in Edinburgh next month.
Seven Scottish craft brewers are set to show their prowess in a ReplicAle contest as part of the new beer festival organised by Richard Servranckxz.
Also among the seven, tasked with creating a new beer which will be judged as part of the event, will be the St Andrews Brewing Company.
In a competition reminiscent of Ready Steady Cook, the breweries have been given the same set of ingredients, provided by Scottish Maltster Baird Malt, Brewers Select and Lallemand, and must produce a brand new brew in a display of the versatility of beer and the creativity of Scotland’s craft beer movement.
The winning brewery, which will receive a trophy and the title of ReplicAle Champion 2018, will be announced as part of the event in the city’s Assembly Roxy from November 15-17.
