A teenager brandished a hammer after an argument while playing Dungeons and Dragons.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, flew into a rage after an argument at his home in Dundee on June 5 last year.
The teen pleaded guilty to acting in an aggressive manner, uttering threats of violence as well as brandishing a hammer and swinging it about.
Fiscal depute Isobel Vincent said he refused to play the game with his sibling. His mother contacted police after he became increasingly agitated.
Ms Vincent said: “Police were contacted and the accused picked up a hammer and threatened to assault any police officer that attended. The accused walked into the front garden and said: ‘I’ll smash the police myself.’ ”
Sheriff Tom Hughes deferred sentence for reports until January 31.
