Neil McCann is set to miss Dundee’s opening post-split fixtures of their Premiership survival bid.
The Dens Park gaffer is likely to be confined to the stands after a date for his appeal against a two-match ban was set for a week on Tuesday.
The Dark Blues boss was given that ban after an altercation with St Johnstone substitute goalkeeper Zander Clark following their 4-0 home defeat to the Perth side.
Clark was also hit with a two-game ban for his part in the scuffle but has not appealed.
Neil will put his case to the SFA’s disciplinary people but unless he can convince the beaks to change their original decision he’ll miss at least the first two rounds of fixtures.
Those are yet to be announced though dates have been set for weekends of April 21/22 and 28/29.
