Dundee’s search for more goals is set to see them sign Shrewsbury attacker Sam Jones.
The 26-year-old is due to head north after the Dark Blues and the League One outfit agreed what’s believed to be a five-figure fee for him to make the switch to Scottish football but personal terms are still to be thrashed out.
At this late stage there are major doubts the English-born striker will be signed up in time for tomorrow’s Dens clash with Aberdeen.
Although born in Barnsley, he has represented Wales youth at youth level.
Jones only joined the Shrews in January after spells at National League outfit Gateshead and League Two Grimsby Town that saw him among the goals on a regular basis.
We’ll have more on this in today’s Evening Telegraph.
