A patient has been taken to hospital after a road crash under a railway bridge.
The HGV driver was cut out of the vehicle and taken to Ninewells Hospital following the accident, which happened around 11am this morning.
A spokesperson for Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 11.14 hours today to attend an incident on the A937 in Hillside.
“We dispatched one ambulance and a manager to the scene. We transported one patient to hospital.”
The railway bridge was initially struck on the A937 in Hillside with the road left blocked.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene.
One of the vehicles was left on its side under the bridge with the van left wrecked.
The van driver got out before firefighters arrived.
Local diversions were in place with the road closed at Borrowfield/ Newhame Road.
