A driver and her passenger had a “lucky” escape after the Mini they were travelling in flipped on to its roof on the Kingsway.
The accident happened at about 10pm on Friday, close to the sliproad for Camperdown, on the westbound carriageway.
The vehicle is believed to have suffered a mechanical failure. The two occupants, including the female driver, were unhurt.
The road was closed for more than an hour while emergency services attended the scene.
Some witnesses said they were shocked to learn that everyone had walked away from the crash unharmed.
One said: “I’m so happy to hear everyone was OK.
“I drove past as the emergency services were arriving and I thought they would be very lucky to be alive with how bad the car was.
“I was thinking about it for hours afterwards.”
The driver’s mum took to Facebook to tell how her daughter had been “very lucky”.
