A suspected drink-driver who failed to provide blood samples to police on Christmas Day was placed on a community payback order and banned from the road for a year.
Andrew Cox, 39, of Bonnethill Court, changed his plea during his trial and admitted two charges.
His pleas of not guilty to six other charges were accepted by the Crown after hearing some of the evidence.
Cox admitted that he failed to provide two specimens of blood at police HQ on December 25 last year, while on two bail orders.
He also admitted that, an offence having occurred, he failed to provide details of the driver to police at Hilltown Terrace on the same date.
Cox was placed on a community payback order for two years by Sheriff Tom Hughes, with a two-year drug treatment and testing order.
