A driver who rammed his work van into a trolley bay at Lidl has been fined and banned.
Kristof Kalisz, of Perth Road, was found to have 82 mics of alcohol in 100 mils of breath – almost four times the limit – after colliding with trollies at Lidl, South Ward Road, on Sunday.
Solicitor Scott Norrie told Dundee Sheriff Court that Kalisz had been drinking beer all through the night before stopping at around 4am and went to the store just before 3pm.
Sheriff Alastair Brown said: “If he stopped drinking at around 4am he must have been pouring beer in from the keg with a funnel.”
Kalisz, 36, was fined £800 and disqualified from driving for 14 months.
