Description issued of suspect after car vandalism spree in Dundee

Police are appealing for information after cars were vandalised in Dundee.

A number of cars were vandalised in the Balerno Street area of Douglas overnight from Saturday January 12 into Sunday January 13.

In Balerno Street, a white Citroen Berlingo had its windscreen smashed and a white Renault Clio had tyres cut and damaged.

In Balerno Place, a blue Renault Clio had tyres cut and in Ballindean Road a blue Rover 75 also had tyres damaged by being cut.

A police statement said: “At least one other car is known to have been damaged and enquiries are ongoing to trace the owner.

“There may be other cars damaged that we haven’t been informed of yet, so please contact us if this has happened to your car too.

“Officers would like to trace a male youth in his late teens who was wearing a grey hooded top under a black gilet or bodywarmer and black joggers, who was seen near one of the damaged cars about 3am on Sunday morning.

“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, or speak to any police officer.
