Billy the community dementia dog had a paws for thought at St Mary’s Community Church in St Kilda Road.
The canine launched the new Dementia Cafe on behalf of the Dundee Carers Centre in partnership with Alzheimer’s Scotland, St Mary’s engagement workers and the community health team.
The cafe runs on the second Thursday of each month to support anyone who has or is caring for someone with dementia, or is concerned about memory.
Sharon Macleod, development worker (adult carers), said: ‘‘We offer activities and health checks.’’
Picture shows Carla Mounsey with Billy, Dorothy Davie, Clare Cockburn, Susan Dye and Mrs Milne at the launch.
