The dust has barely settled on this year’s festivities but organisers are already gearing up for Stobfest 2019.
The Stobswell Forum has confirmed that the fourth annual festival will be held over eight days next May.
Forum member David Macdougall said: “The first three Stobfest events have been a major success and we are keen to hold another next year.
“The festivals have worked very well in their original format up until now so we don’t want to change what works too much.
“However, I think it’s fair to say that next year we are aiming for it to be bigger and better than ever.”
Mr Macdougall hinted that there could also be a special addition next year, although he didn’t want to give away too many details at this stage.
He said: “Suffice to say it is centred round the success of this year’s OpenClose Dundee.
“This year, several murals were completed in time for the festivities.
“We have been having talks about expanding this for 2019 with a mural that might be rather larger than those we have already seen.
“However, we still have a lot to discuss around this.”
Mr Macdougall said the plan was to get the community involved yet again to help promote the area both locally and across Dundee.
“We have a lot on offer here in Stobswell,” he added
Stobsfest 2019 will run from May 10-18.
