Dash cam drivers could help police solve Dundee break-in

Seaforth Road from Fairfield Road.

Police believe motorists with dash cams fitted to their vehicles could hold the answer to a raid on a Dundee home

Last week, thieves stole a five-figure sum of cash from a house on Seaforth Road, West Ferry.

Other valuable jewellery was also stolen from the home during the break-in on October 31.

Raiders smashed their way through a patio door at the rear of the property sometime between 3pm and 7pm.

It’s believed those responsible have climbed over the garden wall from neighbouring Arbroath Road before breaking in.

Today, reissuing an appeal for information, a spokeswoman for the force added: “In particular, we would like to speak to anyone who may have been driving along the stretch of Arbroath Road between Claypotts and Scott Fyffe Roundabout between 3pm and 7pm that day and who have dash cams fitted to their vehicles.

“If you can help us, please call 101 or speak to any Police officer. Our reference is CR/28488/17.”
