Dundee’s Premiership rivals Kilmarnock have snapped up defender Daniel Higgins a day after it was announced he had left Dens Park.
Higgins joined the Dark Blues from Celtic in February and made four appearances in his stint.
However, the 19-year-old did not do enough to impress new boss Neil McCann who let him leave the club.
Today the Rugby Park side revealed he had put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Higgins told the Killie website: “It feels good to be here, as it’s a club that’s definitely going in the right direction. I look forward to being part of the team and for the start of the new season.”
On his new man, Lee McCulloch added: “Daniel fits in with the club philosophy, bringing young players into a first team environment.
“He came through Celtic’s academy, which has seen many impressive young players come through.
“For the second half of last season he gained experience at Dundee and through time will only get better, which is only a good thing for this club”.
