Police have issued an appeal about a fire which began on a footpath in Dundee.
A mattress dumped in Baffin Terrace was set on fire, causing extensive damage to a Ford Ka car parked nearby.
The incident happened at around 9am on Sunday January 6.
A police statement said: “Given the location of the mattress, it would be highly unlikely that this act would have been accidental, and the fire is being considered as suspicious.
“Fortunately, Scottish Fire And Rescue Service extinguished the fire before more serious damage was caused.
