Cows cause moo-hem after escaping from local field

Locals look on in be-moo-sement as the cows graze on grass.

Residents of a Tayside street were given a rude awakening this morning after discovering a three cows outside their homes.

It’s understood the cattle escaped from a nearby field and stopped for a bite of grass in a square outside houses on Abbey Lane, Errol at 7am today.

One local said the animals had even hot-hoofed it over a railway track to get to the housing development

Police were called to the scene following the udder moo-hem but the cattle had left for pastures new before officers arrived.

The animals are believed to have cow-operated with residents and left the scene.
