A Dundee retail park could soon host a coffee shop if new proposals are approved by city planning chiefs.
Coffee giant Costa wants to open an outlet at the Kingsway West retail park alongside the Next Home furniture store, something it has done at other Next branches across the country.
The cafe would occupy the currently vacant corner unit located between Next Home and Currys PC World at the far end of the retail park.
In a prepared planning statement submitted on behalf of the Kingsway West management, architects UrbanEdge said the Costa unit would provide several benefits to the local area.
They said the proposal would “bring into use a currently redundant space, provide additional opportunities to the current park experience, (and) provide further employment opportunities for the local community”.
The application, submitted to Dundee City Council, is likely to be reviewed next year.
