A cop is to stand trial accused of sexually assaulting two women before downloading, possessing and distributing child abuse images on his computer.
Rikki Henderson is understood to be suspended from duty as a response officer in Fraserburgh over the allegations.
Henderson – who is also a second lieutenant in the Army cadet force – faces five allegations on indictment at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
At a hearing today it was alleged that he sexually assaulted two women at the Cadet Training Corps in Peterhead on November 19 2013.
It is alleged he seized one by the hair and pulled her head towards his “genital area”, causing it to strike that rea, and placed his hed between the legs of a second woman, touched her legs and placed his head underneath her skirt.
Further charges allege that on or between November 21 2016 and June 1 2017 Henderson possessed indecent images of children.
He is further accused of showing or distributing indecent images of children between November 21 2016 and March 29 2017, and “taking or making” indecent images between the same dates.
Henderson, 24, of Bridge Street, Strichen, Fraserburgh, today faces five charges on indictment at Aberdeen Sheriff Court through his solicitor.
Henderson was not personally present in court for the brief hearing, with his lawyer telling the court there had been a communication issue about the date he was due in court.
No plea was formally entered on his behalf during the hearing.
Sheriff Graham Buchanan continued the case to a further pre-trial hearing later this month.
