Police officers were called to the Tay Road Bridge yesterday evening following concerns for a female.
The bridge was temporarily closed southbound just after 9pm.
A spokeswoman from the Coastguard service confirmed they had not been deployed during last night’s incident.
Police escorted the woman off the bridge before she was taken away for medical treatment at the Carseview Centre.
Tay Road Bridge confirmed the bridge reopened southbound shortly after 9.20pm.
A spokesman for Police Scotland: “Officers were called to bridge following concerns for a female. She was escorted off the bridge and taken to Carseview.”
