Dundee United club captain Willo Flood has informed the Tangerines he will be moving on this summer.
Out of contract next month, he had been offered a deal for next season that would have focused mainly on him being part of the coaching team for the youth set up, but also seen him still registered as a player.
At 33, however, the Irishman believes he still has another year or two left on the playing side and had decided to look for a club elsewhere.
The news brings to an end his third spell at Tannadice and an association with United that stretches back over a decade.
He was first signed by Craig Levein in a loan deal from Cardiff City back in 2007, returned for two years in 2011 and, after a spell at Aberdeen, came back for his third spell in 2016.
