Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has singled-out Dundee centre-back Jack Hendry as a solution to Scotland’s defensive talent dearth.
The Northern Irish boss praised the Dark Blues in the wake of his side’s 1-0 win on Saturday and drew particular attention to the 22-year-old’s performance.
“Dundee did well on Saturday, I was impressed,” Rodgers said.
“They’ve got some good players, played their shape well at times and there’s some decent athletes in there that can get on the ball.
“Hendry at the back was excellent. He’s quick and strong.”
Rodgers added: “He’s a good size and Scotland needs centre-halves — he’s tall, he can run and pass so he looks a talent.
“I thought they were a good little side.”
