A man who had faced prosecution after he was accused of being drunk while riding his mobility scooter at a McDonald’s drive-through has had the case against him dropped.
Michael Ernest Green, 62, was due before Skegness Magistrates’ Court in Lincolnshire on Tuesday accused of breaking a law dating back to 1872.
Court papers showed Mr Green, of Clifford Road, Skegness, was accused of being “drunk in charge of a carriage” at the McDonald’s in Grand Parade in the town on August
Pictures were shared on social media showing the restaurant near the seafront with a police officer talking to a man on a mobility scooter.
